MRI Examination Guide

請詳閱以下注意事項,並於預約及到診時遵從。如有疑問,請聯絡本中心醫護人員
Please read the following instructions carefully and follow them before and during your appointment. If you have any questions, please contact our medical staff.

一、登記文件 | Registration Documents

  • 請攜帶醫生轉介信正本及香港身份證正本登記。
  • 內地人士請出示有效通行證或護照。
  • 不接受影印本或手機照片。
  • Please bring the original doctor’s referral letter and HKID card for registration. Mainland visitors should present a valid travel document or passport. Copies or mobile photos are not accepted.
 

二、報到時間 | Check-in Time

  • 請於預約時間前 30 分鐘 抵達中心辦理報到與準備。
  • Please arrive at the centre 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment for registration and preparation.
 

三、禁食指引 | Fasting Instructions

  • 若掃描範圍包括膽部(如全腹、上腹或泌尿系統),請於檢查前 4 小時禁食(已切除膽囊者除外)。除醫生處方藥外,只可少量飲用清水。
  • 若進行膽胰管造影(MRCP),請於檢查前 4 小時完全禁食及禁水。
  • For scans involving the biliary system (e.g., whole abdomen, upper abdomen, urinary tract), please fast for 4 hours before the examination, except for patients who have had a cholecystectomy. Only small amounts of water are allowed with prescribed medications.
  • For MRCP, please avoid all food and drinks for 4 hours before the scan.
 

四、體內植入物或身上金屬 | Implants or Metal Objects

  • 若您體內或身上有以下裝置或金屬,請務必在檢查前通知本中心職員,因可能造成安全風險或影像干擾:
  • 心臟起搏器、除顫器、腦血管夾、支架、人工心瓣、神經刺激器、人工耳蝸、助聽器、胰島素泵、關節植入物、骨釘、子宮環、義肢、紋身、金屬碎片或曾中彈者(尤其眼部)。
  • Please inform our staff if you have any of the following, as they may pose risks or affect imaging quality: pacemaker, defibrillator, aneurysm clip, stent, artificial valve, neurostimulator, cochlear implant, hearing aid, insulin pump, joint replacement, metal screws, IUD, prosthesis, tattoos, or retained metal fragments (especially ocular).
 

五、幽閉恐懼症 | Claustrophobia

  • 若您有幽閉恐懼症,請於預約或到診時告知,以便我們評估並提供協助(如放鬆措施或藥物建議)。
  • If you have claustrophobia, please inform us upon booking or arrival. Relaxation measures or medication recommendations may be offered if necessary.
 

六、懷孕 | Pregnancy

  • 若您已懷孕或懷疑懷孕,請告知職員並提供末次月經日期,以便評估檢查適宜性。
  • If you are pregnant or suspect pregnancy, please inform our staff and provide your last menstrual period date, so that the suitability of the scan can be assessed.
 

七、顯影劑與腎功能 | Contrast Agent & Renal Function

  • 需使用顯影劑者,若屬下列情況,請提供最近三個月內之腎功能報告:末期腎病、腎移植或洗腎患者。
  • 若為糖尿病或長期服藥者,且需要使用肝臟專用顯影劑(Primovist),請提供檢查前一日或當日的最新腎功能報告。
  • 如有需要,本中心可於到診時進行即時腎功能測試並收費。
  • 若曾對顯影劑過敏,請於預約時通知醫生或中心職員。
  • If contrast injection is required:
  • Provide a renal function report within the past 3 months if you have end-stage renal disease, a kidney transplant, or are on dialysis.
  • Diabetic or long-term medication users who require liver-specific contrast (Primovist) should submit a renal report from the day of or the day before the scan.
  • A rapid kidney test may be arranged on-site with an additional fee.
  • Inform your doctor or staff in advance if you have a history of contrast allergy.*
 

八、未成年病人 | Minors

  • 18 歲以下病人須由家長或監護人陪同並簽署同意書。
  • 15 歲以下僅接受不使用顯影劑的項目。
  • Patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who must sign the consent form.
  • Patients under 15 are only eligible for non-contrast MRI scans.
 

九、個人物品與準備 | Personal Belongings

  • 檢查前請移除所有飾物及金屬物品(如手錶、戒指、耳環、髮夾等)。
  • 頭部掃描請避免化妝及勿佩戴隱形眼鏡。
  • 若有先前 X 光或 MRI 報告,請一併帶備。
  • Please remove all metallic items (watches, jewelry, hair accessories, etc.) before the scan.
  • Avoid makeup and contact lenses for head scans.
  • Bring previous X-rays or MRI reports for comparison.
 

十、檢查過程 | During the Scan

  • 掃描期間會發出較大聲響,本中心將提供耳塞及耳罩。
  • 您將獲提供緊急呼喚鈴,若感不適可即時通知放射師。
  • Loud noises will be heard during MRI scanning; earplugs and earmuffs will be provided.
  • An emergency call button is available if you feel unwell during the procedure.
