【Knowledge disorder】Doctors are both sick with cognitive disorders and can solve the cause symptoms that can cause atrophy and death

▲ Doctors explain the causes and symptoms of cognitive impairment.

Do my mother-in-law still think I am? My mother-in-law and my husband are 85 years old and can no longer remember their children and their parents. My brother-in-law's mother, who is over 80 years old, began to remember that her memory ability has become worse and she kept repeating the same problem.

Her brother-in-law jokingly asked her for a loan, and she could not recognize the child at first. She was able to shake her head hastily and replied: "I don't have money, don't beat me up!" Money may be part of a longer concept that can stay in the brain, becoming close to an instinctive reaction.

The above three female elders have cognitive impairment. And their spouses passed away before suffering from cognitive impairment. Medical advances have greatly increased the average life expectancy over eighty years. So, is there any way we can reduce our chances of suffering from this disease? Before I forget, let me document it.

More than 70 percent of cognitive impairment is Alzheimer’s Disease, and there is currently no effective recovery. As we age, more and more people suffer from this disease. About 20% of people over the age of 85 suffer from this disease.

Patients initially have reduced memory and language skills, unclear thinking, forgetting the location of objects, and forgetting the way home. and with the increase in affected areas of the brain, brain atrophy to inability to move, difficulty swallowing, and eventually death.

From the brains of autopsy patients it was found that people with this disease had more cerebral atherosclerosis than others. Because of the narrowing of atherosclerosis and resulting in cerebral hypoxia, and finally cerebral atrophy can be one of the causes of this disease.

Cognitive impairment Another two percent of patients have vascular amnesia. The rest of the causes account for only a minority. From the text, these two percent of patients suffered strokes due to blocked blood vessels, which weakened their cognitive abilities.

More than 90% of the above causes of cognitive impairment are related to cerebral vascular health. And a large amount of data illustrates that a vegetarian diet improves vascular health, reduces cholesterol and the formation of atherosclerosis.

So it stands to reason that a vegetarian diet reduces the risk of cognitive impairment. Daily aerobic exercise, quitting smoking and alcohol also make blood vessels healthy.
