The middle wind is divided into hemorrhagic middle wind and ischemic middle wind. Most patients with medium-sexual wind in Hong Kong are adults over 50 years old, and ischemic trends are more common, accounting for about 70%.
Ischemic stroke is caused by cerebral blood vessel embolism, which causes the brain to be deprived of oxygen and lose function. The cause may be narrowing of blood vessels due to atherosclerosis in the neck or brain, or emboli formed in the arteries of the heart or neck traveling to the brain to block blood vessels.
A very smart good friend of mine once had an MRI stroke risk assessment done, and the doctor suspected that he had a slight narrowing of the blood vessels in one side of his neck.
I specially used ultrasound to check the relevant blood vessels in his neck, and it was found that a blood vessel supplying blood to the brain had an early narrowing of 10%. Although it is not a serious narrowing, it really sounds a health warning. There are two methods that I know of that can slow or even reverse atherogenesis. The first is a vegetarian diet, and the second is the use of cholesterol-lowering drugs.
My friend used to take cholesterol-lowering drugs, but because he often had to attend some social dinner parties and did not eat in moderation, his bad cholesterol (LDL) control was not as good as he wanted. A vegetarian diet can expand oxygenation and reduce inflammation of blood vessels, so it can avoid and improve vascular diseases.
Diseases enter through the mouth. We can cause cardiovascular atherosclerosis through diet, or we can improve vascular health by improving the quality of food. Eating more beans, sweet potatoes, dark green leafy plants and other whole foods and reducing the consumption of red meat and cured meat is a major trend in healthy eating.
I told this smart and wealthy friend: "Your career is so successful, you deserve to have a healthy body to enjoy the fruits of your hard work!" I believe that health is also a result that all friends who have struggled for most of their lives should enjoy.
