Recently a gynecologist friend of mine told me that she would refer a patient to me for anUltrasound Examination. The patient stated that since the last time was also myradiologist, who scanned and drew tissue for me, he hoped to return to the same doctor.
There were some details of the patient’s statement that she was very satisfied with: “During the examination, the doctor would be concerned about the patient asking ‘Are there any questions and things he didn’t understand?’ And the doctor would also face the patient with a smile, which made her feel at ease.
After hearing the patient's reaction, I reflected for several days and came to the conclusion that the patient was in great need of care. But doctors often neglect to smile because they are too busy at work. And a smile with love will surely reduce the worries of the smiling patient, perhaps more than painkillers in reducing the pain of the injured.
