MRI Examination Guide

一、登记文件 | Registration Documents

• 请携带医生转介信正本及香港身份证正本登记。
• 内地人士请出示有效通行证或护照。
• 不接受影印本或手机照片。
• Please bring the original doctor’s referral letter and HKID card for registration. Mainland visitors should present a valid travel document or passport. Copies or mobile photos are not accepted.

二、报到时间 | Check-in Time

• 请于预约时间前 30 分钟 抵达中心办理报到与准备。
• Please arrive at the centre 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment for registration and preparation.

三、禁食指引 | Fasting Instructions

• 若扫描范围包括胆部（如全腹、上腹或泌尿系统），请于检查前 4 小时禁食（已切除胆囊者除外）。除医生处方药外，只可少量饮用清水。
• 若进行胆胰管造影（MRCP），请于检查前 4 小时完全禁食及禁水。
• For scans involving the biliary system (e.g., whole abdomen, upper abdomen, urinary tract), please fast for 4 hours before the examination, except for patients who have had a cholecystectomy. Only small amounts of water are allowed with prescribed medications.
• For MRCP, please avoid all food and drinks for 4 hours before the scan.

四、体内植入物或身上金属 | Implants or Metal Objects

• 若您体内或身上有以下装置或金属，请务必在检查前通知本中心职员，因可能造成安全风险或影像干扰：
• 心脏起搏器、除颤器、脑血管夹、支架、人工心瓣、神经刺激器、人工耳蜗、助听器、胰岛素泵、关节植入物、骨钉、子宫环、义肢、纹身、金属碎片或曾中弹者（尤其眼部）。
• Please inform our staff if you have any of the following, as they may pose risks or affect imaging quality: pacemaker, defibrillator, aneurysm clip, stent, artificial valve, neurostimulator, cochlear implant, hearing aid, insulin pump, joint replacement, metal screws, IUD, prosthesis, tattoos, or retained metal fragments (especially ocular).

五、幽闭恐惧症 | Claustrophobia

• 若您有幽闭恐惧症，请于预约或到诊时告知，以便我们评估并提供协助（如放松措施或药物建议）。
• If you have claustrophobia, please inform us upon booking or arrival. Relaxation measures or medication recommendations may be offered if necessary.

六、怀孕 | Pregnancy

• 若您已怀孕或怀疑怀孕，请告知职员并提供末次月经日期，以便评估检查适宜性。
• If you are pregnant or suspect pregnancy, please inform our staff and provide your last menstrual period date, so that the suitability of the scan can be assessed.

七、显影剂与肾功能 | Contrast Agent & Renal Function

• 需使用显影剂者，若属下列情况，请提供最近三个月内之肾功能报告：末期肾病、肾移植或洗肾患者。
• 若为糖尿病或长期服药者，且需要使用肝脏专用显影剂（Primovist），请提供检查前一日或当日的最新肾功能报告。
• 如有需要，本中心可于到诊时进行即时肾功能测试并收费。
• 若曾对显影剂过敏，请于预约时通知医生或中心职员。
• If contrast injection is required:
• Provide a renal function report within the past 3 months if you have end-stage renal disease, a kidney transplant, or are on dialysis.
• Diabetic or long-term medication users who require liver-specific contrast (Primovist) should submit a renal report from the day of or the day before the scan.
• A rapid kidney test may be arranged on-site with an additional fee.
• Inform your doctor or staff in advance if you have a history of contrast allergy.*

八、未成年病人 | Minors

• 18 岁以下病人须由家长或监护人陪同并签署同意书。
• 15 岁以下仅接受不使用显影剂的项目。
• Patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who must sign the consent form.
• Patients under 15 are only eligible for non-contrast MRI scans.

九、个人物品与准备 | Personal Belongings

• 检查前请移除所有饰物及金属物品（如手表、戒指、耳环、发夹等）。
• 头部扫描请避免化妆及勿佩戴隐形眼镜。
• 若有先前 X 光或 MRI 报告，请一并带备。
• Please remove all metallic items (watches, jewelry, hair accessories, etc.) before the scan.
• Avoid makeup and contact lenses for head scans.
• Bring previous X-rays or MRI reports for comparison.

十、检查过程 | During the Scan

• 扫描期间会发出较大声响，本中心将提供耳塞及耳罩。
• 您将获提供紧急呼唤铃，若感不适可即时通知放射师。
• Loud noises will be heard during MRI scanning; earplugs and earmuffs will be provided.
• An emergency call button is available if you feel unwell during the procedure.
