Mammography Examination Guide

一、登记文件与报到时间 | Registration & Check-in

• 请携带医生转介信正本及香港身份证正本登记；
• 内地人士请同时出示有效通行证或护照。
• 不接受影印本或手机照片。
• 请于预约时间前 30 分钟 抵达，以便办理报到及检查前准备。
• Please bring your original doctor’s referral letter and HKID card for registration.
• Mainland visitors should present a valid travel document or passport.
• Photocopies or mobile photos are not accepted.
• Please arrive at the centre 30 minutes before your appointment for registration and preparation.

二、检查前护理品注意事项 | Skin Care Products

• 检查当日 请勿在乳房、腋下或其附近使用 以下任何产品：
• 爽身粉、止汗或香体剂（喷雾或涂剂）、油性／粉末状产品、胶布或贴纸。
• 这些物质可能在 X 光影像上产生白点或假影，影响判读。
• On the day of the scan, please do not apply the following on or near your breasts or underarms:
• powder, deodorant, perfume sprays, lotions, oils, or patches.
• These may produce white spots or artifacts on the X‑ray image and affect interpretation.

三、衣着与饰物 | Clothing & Accessories

• 检查前请脱去上衣及乳房附近所有饰物与金属物品（如项链、胸针、耳环、发夹等）。
• 建议穿着易于脱换的前开扣上衣或两件式服装，方便检查。
• Please remove clothing from the waist up and all metallic items near the chest (necklaces, pins, earrings, hair accessories, etc.).
• Wear a two‑piece outfit or front‑buttoned top for easier changing.

四、携带既往影像与资料 | Previous Imaging & Reports

• 如有以往乳房 X 光片、超声波或其他相关报告，请一并携带以便比较及判读。
• Please bring any previous mammograms, breast ultrasound images, or related medical reports for comparison.

五、怀孕与生育年龄妇女 | Pregnancy & Women of Childbearing Age

• 乳房造影为 低剂量放射检查。
• 若您确定怀孕或有怀孕疑虑，请于预约时或检查前通知转介医生及本中心，以评估是否改期或采用其他检查方式。
• 若月经周期超过 28 天，可能需进行尿液验孕。
• 年满 55 岁且已停经至少 2 年者通常可豁免。
• 具体安排请遵循本中心或转介医生指示。
• Mammography is a low‑dose radiation imaging test.
• If you are or may be pregnant, please inform your referring doctor or our staff prior to the scan for risk assessment or rescheduling.
• If your menstrual cycle exceeds 28 days, a urine pregnancy test may be required.
• Women aged 55 or above who have been postmenopausal for at least 2 years are usually exempt.
• Please follow the instructions of your doctor or our centre.

六、疼痛与检查时机 | Discomfort & Scheduling

• 检查过程中可能会有压迫感或短暂不适。
• 若您在经期前或经期期间乳房胀痛明显，请于预约时告知，可安排在经期结束后数天进行，以减轻不适。
• Mild pressure or brief discomfort may occur during image acquisition.
• If you experience breast tenderness during or before menstruation, please inform our staff so that the scan can be scheduled a few days after your period for better comfort.

七、乳房植入物（如适用） | Breast Implants (If Applicable)

• 如曾接受乳房假体或植入物手术，请提前告知。
• 因植入物可能遮蔽部份乳腺组织，放射技术人员将采用 特殊角度投照 以获得完整影像。
• If you have breast implants, please inform our staff in advance.
• Special imaging techniques or additional views may be required to ensure adequate coverage of breast tissue.

八、检查当日注意事项 | On the Day of Examination

• 请依照放射技术人员指示配合姿势摆位并保持静止，以获得清晰影像。
• 检查时间短暂，一般完成后可立即恢复正常活动。
• Follow the technologist’s instructions and remain still during imaging for best results.
• The scan is brief, and you may resume normal activities immediately afterward.
