PET‑CT Examination Guide

请详阅以下注意事项,并于预约及到诊时遵从。如有疑问,请联络本中心医护人员
Please read the following instructions carefully and follow them before and during your appointment. If you have any questions, please contact our medical staff.

一、登记文件 | Registration Documents

  • 请携带医生转介信正本及香港身份证正本登记。
  • 内地人士请出示有效通行证或护照。
  • 不接受影印本或手机照片。
  • Please bring the original referral letter and your HKID card for registration.
  • Mainland visitors should present a valid travel document or passport.
  • Photocopies or mobile photos will not be accepted.

二、报到时间 | Check-in Time

  • 请于预约时间前 30 分钟 抵达中心办理报到及准备。
  • Please arrive at the centre 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment for registration and preparation.

三、禁食与用液指引 | Fasting & Fluid Intake

  • 检查前至少 4 小时禁食(除医生处方药外),可少量饮用白开水。
  • 检查前不得接受 肠外营养(parenteral nutrition) 或任何含葡萄糖之口服/静脉注射溶液。
  • Please fast for at least 4 hours before the examination (except prescribed medications). You may drink plain water in small amounts.
  • Avoid any parenteral nutrition or glucose-containing oral/IV fluids before the scan.

四、药物与检查间隔 | Medication & Examination Interval

  • 检查前三天请停止服用中药(如灵芝、云芝丸等)。
  • 检查前 10 日内 请勿接受含钡剂(Barium)之 X 光检查。
  • Discontinue Chinese herbal medicines (e.g., Lingzhi or Yunzhi preparations) for 3 days prior to the scan.
  • Do not undergo any barium-containing X-ray tests within 10 days before the examination.

五、活动限制 | Activity Restrictions

  • 检查前一日及当日请避免剧烈运动或高强度体力活动。
  • Avoid strenuous exercise or heavy physical activity on the day before and on the day of the scan.

六、糖尿病患者 | For Diabetic Patients

  • 通常安排于早上进行扫描,以利血糖稳定。
  • 检查前一日午夜起,停止服用降血糖药或注射胰岛素(仅可饮水),但可继续服用非糖尿病药物。请携带糖尿药及胰岛素备用。
  • 到达中心后将测量血糖;若高于标准,检查可能需延迟或改期。
  • 扫描完成后可恢复正常饮食,并按医嘱恢复用药以避免低血糖。
  • PET‑CT scans for diabetic patients are usually scheduled in the morning when blood glucose is more stable.
  • Please stop taking anti-diabetic medications and insulin from midnight before the scan (water only allowed). Continue other prescribed medications. Bring your diabetes medicines and insulin with you.
  • Blood glucose will be checked upon arrival. Scans may be postponed if levels are too high.
  • After the scan, resume normal meals and medications as directed to avoid hypoglycemia.

七、显影剂及肾功能 | Contrast Agent & Renal Function

  • 若检查同时需使用显影剂,下列人士须提供 最近三个月内之肾功能报告:
  • 年龄 65 岁或以上
  • 糖尿病患者
  • 已知肾病或服用血压药者
  • If contrast injection is required, please provide a recent kidney function report (within 3 months) if you are:
  • 65 years of age or older
  • a diabetic patient
  • a patient with kidney disease or taking antihypertensive medications

八、过敏与哮喘病史 | Allergy & Asthma History

  • 若曾对食物、药物或显影剂过敏,或有哮喘病史,请提前通知转介医生或中心人员。
  • 必要时可于检查前给予类固醇或其他预防性药物以降低过敏风险。
  • Inform your doctor or our staff in advance if you have allergies to food, medication, or contrast agents, or a history of asthma. Preventive medications (e.g., steroids) may be administered to reduce allergic risk.

九、未成年病人 | Minors

  • 18 岁以下病人须由家长或法定监护人陪同,并签署同意书方可进行检查。
  • Patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who is required to sign a consent form.

十、个人物品与检查资料 | Personal Belongings & Medical Records

  • 检查前请取下所有饰物与金属物品(手表、戒指、耳环、发夹等)。
  • 请携带相关影像资料与报告(如 X 光、CT、MRI 等)以供对照。
  • Remove all jewelry and metallic items (watch, ring, earrings, hair accessories, etc.) before the scan.
  • Please bring any relevant imaging studies and reports (e.g. X-ray, CT, or MRI) for comparison.

十一、女性病人与怀孕 | Female Patients & Pregnancy

  • PET‑CT 涉及 辐射。如怀疑怀孕,请先咨询转介医生以评估是否需改期。
  • 若月经周期超过 28 天,通常需进行尿液验孕测试;惟年满 55 岁且停经至少 2 年者可免除。
  • PET‑CT scans involve radiation exposure. If you may be pregnant, please consult your referring doctor to determine whether to postpone the scan.
  • If your menstrual cycle exceeds 28 days, a urine pregnancy test may be required. Women aged 55 or above who have been postmenopausal for at least 2 years are exempt.
